The Pro Day circuit is a long, grueling six weeks. Coaches and scouts are in a new city almost every day, airports suck, and you’re trying to keep track of the numbers, the names, the tidal wave of information the scouting process provides.
One upside? If you land in the right place, some stick-to-your-ribs home cookin’. That’s what James Washington and Mike Tomlin had at dinner the night before his Pro Day workout. Apparently, a good first impression for the head coach.
“He asked me what I wanted to eat and I brought up barbecue,” Washington told Missi Matthews in a recent interview.
