Steelers receiver Antonio Brown will present a $100,000 check to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh on Friday. Brown, who played host to a charity softball game earlier this year that benefited the hospital, wanted the children who are being treated at the hospital to have a memorable Christmas.
“What a wonderful time of the year to give back,” Brown said. “It’s a blessing for some kids who might be in an unfortunate situation. I can’t fathom any of my kids in that situation. Just making a positive contribution and give back and spread love.”
It’s the first time Brown has written such a big check for charity, and he said he plans to do more work in the community in the future.
