Alejandro Villanueva taught us something important

Alejandro Villanueva had a plan for how these past couple days would go.

The Steelers’ left tackle — a West Point grad and Army Ranger who was deployed in Afghanistan — would show up on Sunday, take part in a pregame exercise that the team had taken great pain to portray as a non-demonstration, play against the Bears, then head to the locker room.

“I’ll avoid you guys, I’ll shower and bring my clothes in, I would never address you guys and two weeks later you guys would be talking about something else,” he said Monday at the team’s practice facility.
