Another member of the Rooney family has joined the Steelers ownership group.
Dan Rooney Jr. is listed as part of the ownership group for the first time in the Steelers’ 2017 Media Guide.
Mr. Rooney is the younger brother of Steelers president Art Rooney II. They are the sons of Dan Rooney, who died April 13.
Dan Jr. also holds the position of player personnel coordinator, the No. 3 position in football operations under general manager Kevin Colbert. A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, he had been a Steelers scout before his promotion five years ago.
