Happy WPIAL Championship week everyone! First and foremost, we hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving. But as the turkey settles on Thursday night and Friday morning dawns, we will have a full day of WPIAL Championship action at Heinz Field Acrisure Stadium. The first WPIAL Champions were crowned last Saturday with Pine-Richland claiming the 5A title and North Allegheny winning the 6A crown. Both of those teams will now enter the state playoffs with North Allegheny taking on a dynamic State College team and Pine-Richland rematching “that all-star team up north” Cathedral Prep who they smoked in the 2020 PIAA Championship.
