#3 Damon Arnette/CB Ohio State/6’0 195 lbs
The Good:
- Great size for the position
- Not afraid to get his hands dirty in run support
- Smooth hips allow him to stay on his man downfield
- Works best as a press corner
- Man coverage is his strong suit
- Also comfortable in zone
- Strong jab move at the line of scrimmage
- Good job using the sideline as another defender
- Keeps everything in front of him
- Tough corner who has a lot of swagger
The Bad:
- Lacks length (short arms)
- Very hands on, may attract flags at the next level
- Much more comfortable in press man rather than off man
- Hips can be a little too eager to open up when in off man coverage
- Lacks long speed
Bio:
- 2019: 35 tackles, 1 interception, 8 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, 1 touchdown
- Career: 140 tackles, 5 interceptions, 22 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles
- Recorded at least one interception in each of the last four years
- 2019 Second Team All Big-Ten selection
- 2018 Honorable All Big-Ten selection
- Played in 53 games with 38 starts
- Returned an interception 96-yards for a touchdown (fourth longest in Ohio State history)
- Recorded his first interception as a redshirt freshman
