#11 Alohi Gilman/S/5’10 201 lbs – Notre Dame
The Good:
- Plays with a ton of competitive toughness
- Comes downhill quickly and violently
- Very physical near the line of scrimmage, not afraid to take on blocks
- Has experience playing deep or in the box
- Does a good job diagnosing the run
- Great ball awareness
- Playmaker
- Much more comfortable coming downhill rather than playing in deep coverage
The Bad:
- Can be too over aggressive when pursuing downhill
- Prone to over pursuing and taking bad angles to ball carrier
- Tackling is inconsistent especially in the open field
- Want to see him square up more open field tackles
- Can be slow to pick up crossing routes in coverage
- Does not have the range to be the last of defense in the secondary
