#2 Lamical Perine/RB/5’11 218 lbs
The Good:
- Really progressed as a receiving option in 2019
- Holds his own in pass protection
- Tough runner who falls forward
- Good vision, knows how to set up his blocks accordingly
- North-South runner, very quick to hit the line of scrimmage
- Bounces off tackles regularly in the trenches
- Finishes all his runs
- Will rack up a ton of yards after contact
- Does a good job pressing the line of scrimmage
The Bad:
- Numbers regressed in 2019 but so did his offensive line
- Lacks speed
- Lacking elusiveness
- Not going to be an open field threat
- Double caught a few footballs that came his way
- Works best with a full head of steam behind him, not enough burst for draw plays
Bio:
- 2019: 132 carries for 676 yards and 6 touchdowns
- Career: 493 carries for 2485 yards and 22 touchdowns
- Career high in receptions in 2019 with 40
- 72 receptions for 674 yards and 8 receiving touchdowns over his collegiate career
- Has been a significant feature of the Florida offense since his freshman year
- Related to Redskins’ RB Samaje Perine and Jaguars’ LB Myles Jack
- Invited to 2020 Senior Bowl which takes place in his hometown
