2017 NFL Draft: Lorenzo Jerome Could Be Hidden Gem For Steelers Secondary

Lorenzo Jerome (5’11”, 210 lbs.) played football for Saint Francis University as a safety in Loretto, Pennsylvania, about 80 miles from Pittsburgh. SFU has not yet produced a player that has been selected in an NFL Draft. That will more than likely change this year considering Jerome has a great chance of getting drafted.

In four years at SFU, Jerome accumulated 252 total tackles, 47 pass deflections and 18 interceptions. That is terrific production.

He was also very effective as a kick returner, averaging 27.2 yards per return. Jerome was a no-star recruit coming out of high school, where he played quarterback as well as a defensive back.
