Picking near the end of the first round, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked heavily to cornerback prospects. However, the latest Steelers rumor is that the team won't necessarily use that pick on a corner.
"A contact on staff in Pittsburgh said the team is not set on a cornerback in Round 1 and that it could draft Karl Joseph, depending on his medicals," Matt Miller of Bleacher Report writes.
This is not the first time the Steelers and Joseph have been linked, and Pro Football Talk reports that Joseph will be a first round selection. That's a clear sign that the knee injury he suffered won't be a problem. The Steelers do need a safety to pair with Mike Mitchell after failing to sign Eric Weddle.
Joseph isn't the only Steelers tidbit Miller has, as he reports the Steelers won't trade QB Landry Jones for draft picks. There hadn't been any real reports that the Steelers were considering moving Jones, but this serves as confirmation a trade likely won't happen.
