The Pittsburgh Steelers rolled past the Dolphins in the wild card round, and now face the Chiefs with a berth in the AFC Championship Game on the line. Kansas City is coming off a bye and are favored at home, but we know better than that. Here are three reasons why the Steelers are guaranteed to win this weekend:
3) Steelers' win streak
The Chiefs were one of the hottest teams in the country in the middle of the season, but have cooled of late, going 2-1 over their last three games. Meanwhile, the Steelers are peaking at just the right time. They have won their last eight games in a row with an average margin of victory over 10 points per game. That streak will continue.
2) Kansas City's terrible offense
KC's offense is perhaps the most anemic left in the playoffs. If Tyreek Hill isn't taking a screen pass 90 yards for a touchdown, their passing game is inept. Alex Smith is averaging just over seven yards per attempt and never throws the ball down the field. They have to be explosive to keep up with Pittsburgh's offense, and they won't be able to do that.
1) Ben Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown
The Steelers had all three of their offensive stars on the field in a playoff game for the first time on Sunday, and the result was staggering. Bell set a franchise playoff record in rushing yards, Brown had two touchdown catches of at least 50 yards, and Big Ben was, well, Big Ben. Kansas City does have one of the best defenses in the league, but with the multitude of ways the Steelers can beat you, they'll have success.
