With the 56th pick in the NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Senquez Golson out of Ole Miss.
Position: Defensive End
Measurables: 5’9”, 176 lbs, 30” arm length, 9.5” hands
Analysis:
Golson has the quickness, ball skills, and instincts to be an outstanding cornerback in the NFL despite his short size. He played a lot of zone in college, but his toughness and 16 career interceptions impressed scouts. His size may limit him to a slot-only corner, but Golson should step in and be a big-time playmaker right away for the Steelers.
