He told his team he was open to playing third base, shortstop or second base, wherever they needed him. On the opposing side, Gustavo Nunez also batted lead-off and went 0-for-3 with a walk.
Willy Garcia made his season debut and went 0-for-1 with a walk and run scored. Garcia started in center field and left after scoring a run in the fifth inning.
