Winter Leagues: Nik Turley Makes His Winter Debut in the Dominican

In the Dominican on Monday night, Nik Turley made his winter debut as a starter for Estrellas Orientales and went three innings. The 28-year-old lefty allowed one unearned run on two hits and a walk, while picking up four strikeouts. Two of those strikeouts came against Alen Hanson, who also just started playing winter ball. Turley was picked up off of waivers by the Pittsburgh Pirates from the Minnesota Twins back on November 6th. He made five starts for Estrellas last winter.
