Winter Leagues: Jason Rogers Hits His First Homer of the Winter

In the Dominican on Sunday, Jason Rogers hit his first homer of the winter. It came off of Angel Castro, a veteran pitcher (mostly in Mexico), who spent part of 2015 with the Oakland A's. In his next plate appearances, Rogers was intentionally walked by former Pirate Cesilio Pimentel. Rogers started in left field for the second straight game and finished the day 1-for-2 with two walks. He is 5-for-22 through seven games, with seven walks.

Alen Hanson went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored. He is 6-for-14 at the plate in four game since returning from his wrist injury.
