Winter Leagues: Boscan Shuts Down a Pair of Pirates, Heredia Struggles Again

In the Dominican, Willy Garcia came off the bench and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout. He did however have a big outfield assist, keeping the score 2-2 in the sixth inning by throwing out a runner at home, though his team ended up losing 3-2 in ten innings. Garcia is hitting .160 this winter, going 8-for-50 with one extra-base hit(a double) and two walks.

Mel Rojas Jr. went 2-for-3 with two walks and a run scored. He was the victim of Garcia's outfield assist, losing an RBI on the play.

Alen Hanson went 0-for-1 before leaving for a pinch-hitter in the fifth inning.
