Thanksgiving was a slow day for Pittsburgh Pirates in winter ball, so below you get a recap of the last two days.
THURSDAY
In Venezuela, Diego Castillo struck out in the first and played the inning at shortstop, but he was replaced on defense in the second inning with no explanation. A later report said it was a knee issue, with no other details. It will be interesting to see when/if he returns to the lineup. He has a .339 average and a .945 OPS in 17 games.
Ali Sanchez went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
