A recap of recent winter league action for players on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Sunday
In the playoffs in Colombia, Tsung-Che Cheng went 1-for-3 with two runs, two walks and a stolen base. The top of his team’s lineup looked like a Pirates prospect reunion, with Cheng followed by Carlos Arroyo, Harold Ramirez, Dilson Herrera and Tito Polo in the 1-5 spots. Cheng played his first playoff game on Saturday and he went 2-for-4 with two singles and a run scored.
In Puerto Rico, Michael Perez went 0-for-1 with a strikeout as a pinch-hitter.
Oddy Nunez, who is still a free agent at the time, pitched five strong innings, allowing one run on seven hits, no walks and four strikeouts.
