Trevor Williams was back in the Pirates’ clubhouse Saturday, but it remains uncertain when he will pitch again.
Williams was originally scheduled to start Saturday night against the Phillies at PNC Park. However, the Pirates scratched Williams on Friday because he was experiencing severe flu-like symptoms. He was not at the ballpark Friday to keep his teammates from becoming infected.
While Williams was feeling better, Clint Hurdle said it was too early to tell when he would slot back into the rotation. Joe Musgrove, who was originally to pitch Sunday against the Phillies, moved up to pitch Saturday.
