BRADENTON, Fla. — Francisco Cervelli does not care what the Pirates’ front office does.
He understands the ramifications of the two major trades this offseason — “When those guys got traded, it was sad,” he said.” I cannot lie to you. I felt like something was taken from us” — but he has attempted to put them in the past.
“We’ve got to move forward,” Cervelli said. “We got new guys. This is not about one or two guys. We’ve got 25 men here who can make a lot of things happen.”
Cervelli referred to Andrew McCutchen, traded this offseason to the San Francisco Giants, as the king of Pittsburgh.
