MINNEAPOLIS -- The Steelers didn't just lose a game Thursday night here at U.S. Bank Stadium, they also lost both starting outside linebackers.
T.J. Watt left the game in the second quarter with a groin injury, while Alex Highsmith suffered a quad injury in the third quarter of the Steelers' 36-28 loss to the Vikings, leaving the team short at outside linebacker for the remainder of the game.
"We got thin at that spot," said Mike Tomlin.
With Watt and Highsmith out, the Steelers finished the game with Taco Charlton and Derrek Tuszka at outside linebacker.
