“Veterans Day only comes once a year, but we like to think of every day as Veterans Day,” said Al Maag, chief marketing officer of the Veteran Tickets Foundation, which has distributed more than a million tickets to veterans and active duty military nationwide for sporting events, concerts, lectures and more — everything from Super Bowl tickets to opera and ballet seats.
Out of the nearly 40,000 organizations serving veterans in the United States, the Arizona-based Vet Tix is the only organization devoted solely to providing tickets, relying on donated tickets from sports teams, concert promoters and cultural groups as well as monetary contributions.
