Perez, 33, signed with the Pirates this offseason after winning the 2023 World Series with the Texas Rangers. However, he hasn’t lived up to the hype, racking up an ERA of 5.20.
In 16 appearances with the Pirates this season, Perez is 2-5, which prompted the team to trade him to the San Diego Padres.
