It was first reported today by the Boston Harald that Bucco play by play announcer Tim Neverett was offered a role with the Boston Red Sox. The position would be for play by play on the radio side. This seems to be an opportunity that Neverett would relish, being that he is a native of the New England area.
He has yet to accept the position, according to the Herald report.
Neverett started with the Pirates in 2009. Although his roots aren't from the Pittsburgh area, he has become popular among fans, and fully entrenched as a Pittsburgher.
