LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — As Austin Meadows dressed at his locker Monday morning, Drake’s “God’s Plan” played on his phone. Meadows likes Drake — “Clean as I can get it.” He likes Christian rap and the Chainsmokers. He likes music he can relate to.
God’s plan became a larger part of Meadows’ life this offseason. He has always been religious. Adversity brought him closer.
“Everybody goes through tough times and I think finding Him and basically just learning as much as you can about Him and getting closer and closer to Him, it makes you realize that He’s got all your problems,” Meadows said.
