Sometimes, you just have a bad night and get crushed. Whatever. But there are a couple of reasons why this one is a little more annoying:
- This is now three terrible starts in a row for A.J. Burnett after the All Star break. Last time out, I sort of brushed it off and figured he didn’t have his command. This time it was a lot more concerning…the command was bad, but he was also throwing 88 early in the game (though he gained some velocity later) and was generally awful.
