Terrific Taillon can't quell Phils in tough-luck loss

PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates went six straight games without a starting pitcher completing more than five innings. Right-hander Jameson Taillon ended that streak on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to end Pittsburgh's losing streak, which reached five games as the Phillies handed the Bucs a 3-2 defeat at PNC Park.

After hurling six shutout frames, Taillon gave up a two-out RBI triple to Nick Williams, followed by a Scott Kingery RBI single to tie the game, 2-2, in the seventh. Taillon was replaced by Edgar Santana after just 77 pitches, marking the fourth fewest pitches he has thrown through 18 starts this season.
