Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez went three-for-four and slugged a career-high three homers propelling the Reds to a 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Joining the homer parade was Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart; both hitters combined to go 4-7 with four runs scored and six RBIs.
The offense sputtered for Pittsburgh, going 0-9 with runners in scoring position and left 11 runners on base. Colin Moran grounded into two double plays.
The Bucs are down 2-1 in the four game series that commences this afternoon in Pittsburgh.
