Adam Frazier has officially been traded to the San Diego Padres in exchange for three prospects.
Breaking news out of Pittsburgh in the late afternoon of Sunday, Adam Frazier, Pittsburgh Pirates long-time second baseman, found out he would be heading to San Diego along with $1.4 million to cover Frazier’s contract.
Frazier of course has been long considered one of the Pittsburgh Pirates top trade pieces, leading the National League in hits, along with being named this year’s All-Star Game starting second baseman. This deal does not come as a surprise, being that trade talks have surrounded the middle infielder for over a year, but it does get finalized five days prior to the 2021 trade deadline this Friday.
