Rotating cast of Pirates outfielders shifts from one corner to the other

SAN FRANCISCO — The Pirates spent three months piecing together left field because of Starling Marte’s suspension. Now, just as Gregory Polanco began to hit, his absence will force the Pirates to do the same thing in right.

When Adam Frazier took right field against the San Francisco Giants Monday night at AT&T Park, he became the third different player to start there in three games since Polanco went on the 10-day disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. Polanco had previously gone on the DL because of the same injury in May. John Jaso started Saturday, Jose Osuna Sunday.
