I never thought I would see another homecoming to Pittsburgh quite like Marc-Andre Fleury’s in February. Fans at PPG Paints Arena chanted his name during pregame warm-ups. The Penguins did a classy two-minute video tribute on the big scoreboard, as only they can, during the first television timeout. The big crowd wrapped their arms around Fleury, one of Pittsburgh’s all-time favorite athletes, with a minute-long standing ovation. And, of course, there were tears from the man of the hour. “I was happy I had a mask on,” he said after his Vegas Golden Knights lost to the Penguins, 5-4.
