The Pirates signed outfielder Antoan Richardson to a minor league contract today, according to a CBS Sports report.
Richardson, 32, reached the major leagues in brief stints with the Atlanta Braves in 2011 and the New York Yankees in ’14. He has seven hits in 20 major league at-bats.
Richardson played in only 13 games in the minors last season. He missed the start of the season after having surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back.
