Manager Clint Hurdle had no update on the condition of Neftali Feliz, who left Saturday’s game with right arm discomfort, other than to say the pitcher was “feeling better” this morning. Hurdle did have good news about rehabbing players Jung Ho Kang and Gerrit Cole.
If all goes well today, Kang (left shoulder injury) will rejoin the Pirates Monday at PNC Park.
Cole (right elbow inflammation) is scheduled to return to the Pirates rotation Sept. 12 for their series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies. Cole threw 30 fastballs in a bullpen session Saturday.
