BRADENTON, Fla. -- With the NBA and MLS suspending their seasons and the NHL potentially following suit over the nationwide outbreak of COVID-19, otherwise known as coronavirus, there is a very real possibility Major League Baseball will take similar measures.
The Pirates had a team meeting Thursday on how to protect themselves from the virus, but are in the dark over what might happen league wide.
"We're just following the news like everybody else," Chris Archer said Thursday.
There has been no announcement from the league or the club on what measures they might take to prevent spreading COVID-19.
