Every Sunday during the season we’ll bring you an update on any transactions that occur in the Pirates organization. This can range from the major league team to the minors. It will include call-ups, options, designated for assignments, trades, DL moves, etc. Here are the transactions from the past week:
It was a pretty quiet week overall for transactions in the organization, but the transactions that did occur were relatively high-profile. The biggest news comes from the beginning of the week with Jung Ho Kang beginning his rehab assignment in Indianapolis. Additionally, the struggling Pirates bullpen may get some relief as relievers Jared Hughes and Cory Luebke also began rehab assignments.
