When the Pittsburgh Pirates and Atlanta Braves started their three-game series on Tuesday night, the Pirates came in limping. Prior to the start of the series the Pirates were just 4-10 in their previous 14 games. The series then started with a 12-5 loss in which the bullpen completely imploded and blew a 5-2 6th inning lead, and it looked like it was going to be another difficult series for the Pirates.
However, to their credit, the team was able to turn things around.
After picking up victories in the latter two games of the series, the Pirates were able to capture a series victory over a good Braves team.
