Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Pirates named their starting third baseman and shortstop for the 2019 season. However, the battle for the fifth and final spot in their starting rotation continues on. That battle will continues on Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Pirates will host the Detroit Tigers at LECOM Park in Bradenton. The game’s first pitch will be thrown by left-handed pitcher Steven Brault. Brault finds himself in a battle with Jordan Lyles and Nick Kingham for the final spot in the starting rotation.
All three pitchers have struggled this spring, but on Monday Kingham turned in a strong start.
