For a long time every mock draft had Emerson Hancock, not Spencer Torkelson, projected as a lock for the number one overall pick to the Detroit Tigers. However, as of late, Hancock has been mocked by most experts slipping down draft boards due to the likes of Torkelson and others. Due to this, he could still be on the board when the Pittsburgh Pirates pick at number seven.
