The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Wednesday afternoon that they claimed right-handed pitcher Yoervis Medina off waivers from the Chicago Cubs. The 27-year-old split last year between the Cubs and Seattle Mariners, posting a 4.71 ERA in 21 innings over 17 relief appearances.
