Over the weekend, the Pittsburgh Pirates wrapped up a 10-game road trip by picking up a series victory over the Miami Marlins. Entering the series, the Pirates were 0-7 on the road trip and 6-18 in their previous 24 games. Thankfully, the worst team in the National League was, to an extent, provided the get right series the Pirates needed.
The Pirates blew the Marlins out 11-0 on Friday night, suffered a 1-run loss on Saturday, and then capped the series off with a 1-run victory on Sunday. In 23 series played this season, the Pirates are now 10-10-3.
