While already dealing with injuries to Casey Sadler and the third DL stint this season for John Holdzkom, Indianapolis saw three more pitchers go down on the most recent road trip.
In what appears to be a lost season after such a promising campaign last year for John Holdzkom, Indianapolis manager Dean Treanor said that Holdzkom was shut down for two weeks on his latest DL trip with his nagging shoulder.
“[Holdzkom] is not going to throw for the next week either,” Treanor said. “The chances that he will be able to get back this year, we don’t know until he starts throwing again to see how it feels.
