BOSTON — The Pirates will proceed with their home opener as planned, despite the dreary weather forecast for Friday on the North Shore. Forecasts call for a high temperature in the upper 30s, winds between 25 and 35 mph, and a mixture of rain and snow early in the day, prior to the 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
