Pirates top-10 prospects tracker: June 29-July 5, 2016

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writers Bill Brink and Stephen J. Nesbitt recap the performances of the Pirates Top 10 prospects — according to Baseball America — over the seven-day period from Wednesday of last week through Tuesday:

1. Tyler Glasnow … P, Indianapolis … After striking out 113 batters in 96 innings and posting a 1.78 ERA, Glasnow will make his major league debut today.

2. Austin Meadows … OF, Indianapolis … Went on the AAA disabled list Tuesday because of a strained right hamstring. Pirates athletic trainer Todd Tomczyk said the Pirates were erring on the side of caution.
