Pirates to play 2 games in Puerto Rico next May

The Pirates will play the Marlins at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan next May 30 and 31, El Nuevo Dia reports (link in Spanish). The two games will be part of a four-game home series for the Marlins, with the other two games being played in Miami. MLB will officially announce the games early next month. In September, Rob Biertempfel reported that the Bucs and Marlins were negotiating to play one or two games in Puerto Rico next season.

The Pirates last played in Puerto Rico in 2004, and it's great that they'll be returning, given their historical connections to the island.
