The Pirates entered the weekend series against the NL East leading Mets with a lot of questions surrounding the starting pitching staff. Certainly, with J.A. Happ, Charlie Morton and Jeff Locke starting the three games, the Pirates couldn't expect to win the series, could they?
Well that's exactly what happened, and each of the three pitchers did enough in each game to keep their team in the game, and allow the red hot offense to capitalize on timely hits. Additionally, the bull pen has been virtually unhittable as of late, and was stellar again on Sunday.
