Matt Gorski is the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Spring Training performer of the week, as he has gotten off to a red hot start at the plate, and is making a very real case for a promotion to the big leauges.
Gorski currently leads the Grapefruit League in RBIs with ten, and is tied for the most homers as well. This kind of production has far exceeded what the team had in mind for him as a non-roster invitee to camp, but now is making his case to be the team’s fill in first baseman as Spencer Horwitz rehabs from wrist surgery.
