The Pirates have signed outfielder Antoan Richardson to a minor league deal, according to Jon Heyman. Richardson is a speedy, defense-oriented player who, at age 32 now, has gotten only 20 at-bats in the majors, mostly with the Yankees in 2014. In the minors, Richardson has a history of drawing boatloads of walks, leading to a .395 career OBP in 951 games. His career slugging percentage is just .346. He also has a history of stealing a lot of bases, but that may be impacted by back surgery that kept him out for most of the 2015 season.
