The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled utility fielder Adam Frazier prior to Wednesday's afternoon game against the Cleveland Indians. To make room on the 25-man roster, right-handed pitcher Casey Sadler has been optioned to Indianapolis.
Sadler was recalled two days ago for the first time since 2015, but he didn't get a chance to get into a game. With Corey Dickerson unavailable today due to his left hamstring issue from last night, Frazier was needed for the bench, which was already a player short.
