ATLANTA — Manager Clint Hurdle toured the interior of SunTrust Park Monday afternoon, making the acquaintance of the Atlanta Braves’ new stadium on the outskirts of the city. He walked the foul territory to the warning track, checked out the backdrop and the outfield walls. The latest Braves ballpark opened this spring, replacing Turner Field, which opened in 1997.
“It’s never not fun. It never gets old,” Hurdle said of seeing a stadium for the first time. “The interesting thing that I love to go look at are the things the industry’s learned over the years. There’s a lot of times that a new ballpark will get built, then three months later, the guy that works it, you’ll ask him, ‘Well, what would you do differently?
