With so many names in the hat, someone is going to have to do something to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
A good way to stand out is to be able to do something that helps improve the major league team, and one of the things that they struggled at the most was scoring runs. The Pirates scored the fourth fewest runs in the majors last year, so that will be a big factor in whether they are going to be able to improve or not.
